PUBLIC NOTICE
CITY OF IOLA
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT – DISASTER RECOVERY

The City of Iola invites all citizens to a public hearing at the Iola Community Center, 7264 Main Street, Iola, on September 8, 2025, at 7:10 pm to comment and to review proposed amendment
request and obtain comments regarding its Harvey CDBG-DR Program Contract No. 20-065-
052-C162. The proposed amendment is removing the drainage improvements on the project due to GLO denial of a contract extension request. The amendment request removed the work that was not completed to date on Brazos Avenue, Dallas Street, and FM 39. The proposed changes will reduce the beneficiaries to 51 people of which 32 or sixty-two percent are of low to moderate income.
Disabled persons or those who require auxiliary aids or services who wish to attend this meeting should contact the City Hall at 936-394-2110 at least two days before the meeting to make arrangements.
